About Dr. Prosper

Dr. Rachel Prosper is a native of the Bronx, NY. Before relocating to Maryland, she completed her post-secondary education and medical training in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Prosper graduated Cum Laude honors with her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Spelman College. She then completed a post-baccalaureate Medical/ Dental Education Preparatory Program (MEDPREP) at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine before obtaining her Doctor of Medicine Degree at Morehouse School of Medicine.

Soon after, Dr. Prosper completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program at Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell Health in New York. She chose OB/GYN as her field of specialty due to its diversity of medical and surgical treatment that allows her to follow a woman through her entire life.

Dr. Prosper has obtained her board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a Diplomate of the American Boards of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Prosper is passionate about women’s health, focusing on in-office procedures, contraception for adolescents, and minimally invasive surgery. 

Dr. Prosper thoroughly enjoys being impactful through community service. Thus far, she has served in the Atlanta area and through mission trips to Senegal, Haiti, Honduras, and Ecuador during her undergraduate, medical school, and residency years. 

In her free time, she enjoys dining out at new restaurants, working out, spending time with family and friends, playing with her dog Luna, and traveling within the USA and abroad.
